McKinley Park News Joins 36Squared Business Incubator

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CHICAGO — The McKinley Park News, a micro-local news outlet covering the McKinley Park neighborhood of Chicago, has joined the 36Squared Business Incubator, establishing the publication’s first office site at the innovation generator that serves as both an Illinois Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and a City of Chicago Neighborhood Business Development Center (NBDC).

“We’re overjoyed to have this opportunity to partner with the 36Squared Business Incubator,” said McKinley Park News Publisher Justin Kerr. “This gives us critical access and resources to power the next stage of the growth of our small business.”

Housed at the 36Squared office and commercial facility at 3636 S. Iron St., Chicago, the not-for-profit incubator serves the business needs of nearby areas through free programs, services and resources, receiving funding and support from the State of Illinois, the City of Chicago and other sources.

“36Squared is unique because we’re an all-abilities business incubator,” said Andrew Fogaty, executive director of the business incubator. “We are also one of the leading resources for and host to the all-abilities entrepreneurial community and their businesses.”

Fogaty highlighted both the businesses working with the 36Squared Business Incubator and programs like the Boost Grant, which provides startup grants to disabled entrepreneurs annually, as some of the incubator’s specialized initiatives.

“Business roadblocks due to access issues should never slow down any entrepreneur,” Fogaty said.

Kerr noted both the physical amenity of office access and the opportunities afforded through joining an entrepreneurial community as critical parts of helping the publication and its business grow.

“36Squared is the leading business resource in the McKinley Park neighborhood and nearby,” Kerr said.

As part of its support to the business incubator and its host, 36Squared, the McKinley Park News is helping them spread the word via a Gold Sponsorship and Cost-Per-Lead (CPL) ad campaign on the website.

“It’s a fantastic spot for businesses to grow from the geographic center of Chicago,” Kerr said.
